Holiday Diary, Op. 5: II. Sailing (Arranged for Chamber Octet)

I made this arrangement of a somewhat obscure piano piece by Benjamin Britten for a class in orchestration I undertook during my first year of grad school in England. I thought the original piece does a remarkable job of capturing a particularly poignant feeling that this country can evoke, which I try to draw out more in my scoring, so my decision to create this arrangement is meant to constitute a love letter to England.
